My name is Crystal, but some of you might know me as Krissy. I was born and raised in the city of Ottawa, Ontario. Growing up helping my Nana in the kitchen, I realized my passion for baking and cake decorating. It was a just hobby for me but it was something that I truly enjoyed to do for my friends and family. I never dreamed that it would end up being such positive influence and such a big part of my life and who I am.
I met the love of my life (Chris) during the summer of 2010 and decided to move to the big city of Toronto, not knowing what my future had in store. My friends and family were far away and I was unhappy with the direction my career path was on. It was my partner’s encouragement that lead me to realize that my home baking 'hobby' could be turned into a real career, so I decided to take things to the next level and enrolled in a professional baking program.
I’ve come a long way in the last few years. I graduated with honors in 2012 from one of Canada’s leading culinary schools, George Brown College, where I had the opportunity to learn from many industry experts. While my classmates went on to work in many popular bakeries around the GTA, I always knew that I wanted to do something on my own.
Since graduating, My family and I have moved to the lovely little town of Stouffville, where I have successfully launched my own business and have had the opportunity to create many special cakes and other desserts for many satisfied clients. I also work in a local bakery as a cake decorator where I not only get to use and strengthen my skill set, but I also get to share some of my knowledge of the baking world with others.

You can hopefully see that baking has always been such an important piece of my life. I take great pride in my products and will always strive to go the extra mile for my customers to ensure they enjoy them as much as I had enjoyed creating them. I’ve always believed in the saying “do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life”, and that is exactly what I have achieved.
